Drake Hyden

Drake is a graduate of Carleton University and currently in the final stages of completing his masters in structural geology at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. Drake’s thesis explores a high-grade gold target within the Yellowknife greenstone belt, focusing on the interpretation of complex folding of the Walsh Formation metaturbidites and quartz veins, which host high-grade Au mineralization.
Drake’s previous work experience includes the Ontario Geological Survey, as a field assistant completing regional mapping within the Shabandowan greenstone belt. Additionally, the past three field seasons have been spent in Yellowknife working with TerraX Minerals Inc. as a field geologist on a variety of high priority Au targets.
Drake participated in the 2016 Integra Gold Rush Challenge, hosted at PDAC, and is also a recipient of the Northwest Territories Geological Survey Mining Incentive Program (MIP). Drake created and proposed a lithium exploration program that was submitted and evaluated by the Geological Survey and received funding for the 15-day program carried out in Sept 2018. The results of the program are currently being interpreted, however, the program successfully resulted in the staking of three mineral claims.
